WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades can give you boosts in certain statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. A random extra substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.
Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to the enchantments.
The upgrader can be found in all major cities and can be visited at any time to upgrade your gear. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks.
Upgrades will cost more depending on the item level, but they will always be cheaper than buying new gear. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade tools, armor, weapon, and accessory upgrades. Players can purchase them from NPCs of item upgraders for various currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon or armor. button, which will show an image of the item when it is upgraded if the player has sufficient materials.
The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and current item level, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or the crests used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain level, it can be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currency types.

Item upgraders can be found in many places on the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount and the chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players complete certain achievements or quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at the start, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are available only via a variety of ways. This is both a benefit as well as an issue.
In Season 3, several new features were added to the upgrade system. After a player has earned an upgrade to a certain item level for a particular armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level will cost less even when they are part of a different gear set.
The amount of Valorstones needed to upgrade is reduced and the discount is affixed to all accounts. Similarly, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievement.
Cases.gg have a variety of options when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. They can use Flightstones that are a common upgrade currency available to all, or crests, which are more specific and consumed during upgrades on specific levels of the item. Crests are an important part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.
The first thing to note is that crests are only able to be used to purchase equipment that is of a particular rank, and that each rank has its own requirements for its upgrade path. The simplest and simplest upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the more complex one may require as many as 20 crests based on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by completing content at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of any difficulty to earn equipment of lower tier or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons with a heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. These crests can be exchanged with an item upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and routes.
Using these new currencies isn't too complicated however, the system does introduce some modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible level on all of their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.
It's also essential to use crests wisely, as they have only one purpose. For instance, it's a good idea make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests with the best gear you have available and keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you're planning on making. This is particularly true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount for the entire account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
